The Senior Umbrella of Network of Brooklyn (SUN-B) will host a panel discussion moderated by Judith Grimaldi, Esq. of Brooklyn’s Grimaldi & Yeung, Elder Law & Estate Planning Attorneys on the changes that will take place in Home Care after the July 1st statewide rollout of Managed Long Term Care Programs (MLTC) for dual eligible Medicaid and Medicare recipients. For service providers and advisors to the aging community, this is an extremely important topic that will greatly affect much of the elder population in New York. Valerie Bogart, Director of the Legal Resources Program for Selfhelp Community Services, Inc. will be a featured panelist as well as representatives from VNS Choice, Elderplan/HomeFirst, Americare and Guildnet. The focus will be on how MLTC will be implemented and how we can prepare for a smooth transition. The impact on clients/patients will be explored as well as the "Good and the Challenges" of these new programs. Admission is free and open to all. Parking is available. Breakfast will be served.
