The local press is awash with statements that the upcoming Democratic Primary for the nomination in the newly created 6th Congressional District “...is a short time for the candidates to get themselves known...”
You can be sure that every enrolled Democrat – incorrectly referred to as registered Democrats (you register to vote, you enroll in a party) – will receive 100 mailers, 37 robo-calls, 17 introductions at transportation stops and 106 handshakes during the short get-to-know-you campaign.
When we add up the total cost of all of the money spent by each candidate, I am sure that we will find that it cost better than $60 per vote.
God bless America...pass me the aspirin.
Sincerely
